EPOXY & POLISHED CONCRETE SYSTEMS

PREPARATION

  • Grind the concrete to remove prior coatings and open up the pores

  • Grinding will expose smaller cracks in the concrete

  • Grinding will enable the coating to adhere properly to surface

CRACK & JOINT FILL

  • Mask off surrounding areas

  • Fill cracks and holes with epoxy or crack filler compound

  • Fill with sand to create a mortar type compound

  • Let it dry

  • Sand

CLEAN THE SURFACE

  • Use a vacuum to clean the surface

  • Apply acetone if needed

APPLY EPOXY OR POLYUREA

  • Mix Part A with Part B to start the curing process

  • Pour bucket of epoxy on the concrete

  • Use a squeegee and a roller to spread an even coat on the surface

APPLY FLAKES OR QUARTZ

  • Spread evenly and according the broadcast coverage desired by the client.

APPLY URETHANE OR POLYASPARTIC

  • Apply sealer using a squeegee and a roller
